BFA Computer Art Student's Work for Samaritans

SVA and The Samaritans suicide and crisis community organization have continued to foster ties with this year’s Student Health and Counseling Services’ 2018 HOPE Art Competition.

The contest aimed to produce a Public Service Advertisement for social networking platforms to promote students reaching out in times of distress.

Congratulations to SVA Computer Art student Eunice Lim who was awarded 2nd Place in the competition!

"The Samaritans of New York operates the only community-based organization in the NYC-Metropolitan area devoted to preventing suicide and helping people in crisis. The Samaritans mission–implemented by professional staff and over 100 caring volunteers–is to prevent suicide by providing immediate and ongoing support to those in crisis; providing solace and support to those who have been touched by suicide; teaching caregivers the most effective ways to prevent suicide; and making the public aware of the keys to preventing it."
