The Visual Arts Student Association, VASA, is the governing body designed to represent the interests and needs of students at the School of Visual Arts.  VASA acts as a liaison for students, faculty, administration and staff; and, they oversee student clubs and Student Senators.   The elected VASA officers and the office staff organize events and programs based on students' needs and suggestions, and designed to help students interact and meet their peers. The officers also have monthly meetings with the President of the College, President David Rhodes, to discuss student concerns and new initiatives.

Events

The VASA team is constantly planning great events for the SVA community.  These events have included large scale socials, like the Halloween Party each October and the Spring Semester Social; as well as special programs for Finals Week to re-energize students and promote wellness.  Special events are also planned for Seniors during Senior Week, and all students are invited to participate in a variety of other programs, educational and fun, throughout the semester.  Service projects and events, like volunteering at local places or participating in City walks, are also an important part of the VASA programming efforts.  Check flyers around campus for details on events.
