General Troubleshooting

What do you do if something did not print?

Be advised these are some of the more common reasons why a project did not print.

Is Paper cut logged in? If it is not:

  1. Launch the PC Client Application
  2. The PaperCut login window will appear
  3. Sign in with your SVA email credentials
  4. Available funds will appear on the PC Client application window
  5. ** Link to Papercut question page

Wrong size paper

  1. Each printer in the DIC lab is able to print in a variety of sizes. If you have any questions regarding a paper size ask a DIC staff member.
  2. Our printers only print in US standard sizes. Print problems can arise if you attempt to print A4, B4 or any other non US paper size standards.
  3. If you designed your project in a non US print standard you can change the print layout to it’s US equivalent but be warned that your original image may appear distorted upon printing.
  4. In the ‘Fiery Work Command station’ it says that the print file is corrupted.
  5. Try a different computer
  6. Printer will not connect to the server
  7. Contact: (Jay: input contact info)

Why does my printed image have different colors from my project on screen?

Note: Programs like Adobe manage colors differently then the printer and  and its software. When you print directly from an adobe program it might result in a color distortion.

Solution: For best quality prints we suggest you save your project as a compressed file such as pdf, jpeg etc and print again.
