FALL 2015 SEMESTER


IMPORTANT NOTICES:

  • Printed class schedules will not be mailed this year. Your schedule can be viewed on MySVA or on the GoSVA mobile app (available on iOS and Android). Instructions on how to view your schedule can be found hereCheck your schedule regularly, as dates, times, and locations may change.

  • Term stickers for your SVA ID card must  be picked up in person. Term stickers are necessary to gain access to ALL SVA buildings. Stickers can be picked up at the Registrar’s Office (205 East 23rd Street) beginning on Monday, August 24.

You are strongly encouraged to pick up a term sticker prior to the first week of classes!

During the first week of classes (September 8 – 14), you can pick up a term sticker at one of the following locations:

  • 133 West 21st Street – Security Desk                 

          9:00 AM – 6:30 PM Mon-Thurs; 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Fri

  • 205 East 23rd Street – Registrar’s Office

          8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Mon-Thurs; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Fri

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • August 24 - Continuing students may begin picking up term ID card stickers in the Registrar's Office.
  • August 29-30 - Registrar's Office open 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM for new student ID pick-up.
  • September 7 - SVA closed in observance of Labor Day.
  • September 8 - First day of classes for the Fall 2015 semester. 
  • September 10 - 22 - Course adjustment period with academic or departmental advisors.

Request a Transcript or Enrollment Letter

Current and former students must complete a formal request for transcripts and/or enrollment letters by completing a Transcript & Enrollment Request Form (available to the right in the “Downloads” list) or the online form through MySVA.

Transcripts and enrollment letters are offered free of charge to students.

Note that transcripts and enrollment letters will not be released if a student has outstanding financial obligations to SVA. Transcripts and enrollment letters will be sent via postal mail within five business days and will not be transmitted via email or fax. Students wishing to pick up transcripts in person may receive an unofficial (student) copy for their personal use or an official copy in a sealed envelope to deliver to another institution.

Requests for transcripts and enrollment letters may be made via the following methods:

In Person
Visit the Office of the Registrar at 205 East 23rd Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. We are located next to the SVA Campus Store.

Mail, Fax, or Email
Send a completed and signed copy of the Transcript & Enrollment Request Form (available to the right in the “Downloads” list) to the following address:

You may also fax your signed request to 212.592.2069 or email a scanned copy to registrar@sva.edu.

Online via MySVA
Log in to my.sva.edu and click on the “Academic Profile" link under the WebAdvisor menu.

For transcripts, click on the “Transcript Request” link to request an official transcript. If you need a student copy (unofficial), you can click on the “Transcript” link to view and/or print a copy.

For enrollment letters, click on the “Enrollment Verification Request” link.

THIRD-PARTY REQUESTORS

If you are not a current or former student at SVA and you would like to obtain verification of a student’s enrollment or any degree(s) received, please submit your request to the National Student Clearinghouse at www.degreeverify.org or by mail at the following address:

  • Look for the WebAdvisor section on the right side of the page
  • Click on a link based on your needs.  For most students, the essential links are:
