The Office of Programs for International Students (OPIS) is the nexus of SVA's international outreach initiatives. Working closely with other departments within the College, OPIS organizes events such as lectures, exhibitions and information sessions to introduce SVA to prospective international students and members of the art and design communities overseas.

OPIS also offers academic programs for international students interested in non-matriculated study at SVA. These programs serve as an introduction to both the singular experience of being a student at SVA and to the excitement of living in New York City. OPIS is available as a resource to other departments interested in developing programs for an international audience.

In addition, OPIS is active in facilitating the development of international partnerships and linkages, helping the College expand its network of peer institutions around the globe.
