The School of Visual Arts offers summer housing for students and interns looking to spend the summer in NYC! 

All SVA's accommodations offer the following amenities:

  • Completing the registration process confirms that you have read and agree to the SVA housing and guest policies and the cancellation policy.

  • Rooms and registrations are NOT transferable.

The 10th Street Residence Hall is one of SVA's newest residence halls, comprised of fully furnished, one- and two-bedroom apartments.  The two-bedroom apartments are for 4 people to share, two people per bedroom. The one-bedroom apartments are for 2 people to share.  Bedrooms, on average, are 15 x 12'; however, bedroom sizes vary, depending on the apartment layout.

Ludlow is SVA's newest residence hall. The rooms are adjoined together by a shared bathroom, single-to-single or single-to-double, making them suite-style rooms. Double rooms have lofted beds to accommodate a larger living area for the residents. Single room beds are not lofted. Single rooms are on average 8 x 10', and double rooms are on average 16 x 20'.

George Washington Residence /SOLD OUT!

The George Washington Residence Hall is SVA's largest traditional-style residence hall. All rooms offered to visiting students and interns have been renovated in the past few years with updated bathroom fixtures, furniture, and flooring. Each room is fully furnished and has a private bathroom. On average, Single rooms are 8 x 10', Small Singles are 6 x 8', and Double rooms are 16 x 20'. Small singles, and some Single and Double rooms, have lofted beds to accommodate a larger living area for the residents.

The Gramercy Residence Hall is comprised of fully furnished, studio (one person per bedroom space) and 4-person double share apartments (2 people per bedroom space). During the academic year, Gramercy is a women's residence, however it is co-ed during the summer.  Average bedroom size is 11 x 17', however this varies depending on the apartment layout.
