Career Development's year-round workshops cover topics such as professional networking, resume writing and interviewing, job search strategies, marketing and managing business and legal issues for artists—just to name a few. To register for our upcoming workshops, view our upcoming Events listings and register online.

Career counseling sessions support matriculating students and recent graduates in exploring, identifying and pursuing their individual career goals, while also teaching them about the professional "tools" they have at their disposal. Students and recent alumni looking to meet with a career counselor regarding résumé reviews and job search strategies should use our Online Appointment Scheduler and choose a counselor and a time to schedule an appointment. Alumni may schedule one-on-one counseling appointments for up to four years after graduation.

Professional artists and recruiters from leading creative companies participate in Career Development's annual Internship Fair, student portfolio reviews and visit campus throughout the year to share their expertise and guidance. For more details on industry events log into the SVA job board.

Career Development's Internship for Credit Program supports students in gaining hands-on professional experience interning at companies such as Marvel Comics, BBDO, 20th Century Fox and many more. The program is open to full-time, matriculated juniors or seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. For more information on the Internship for Credit Program enrollment process and deadlines, please visit the Internship for Credit Program webpage. The online application is at SVA CareerLink.

The SVA Online Job Board gives students and alumni access to thousands of new job listings each year by reputable creative companies who seek SVA talent. Students and alumni post their resume and portfolio images for prospective employers to review.
