The Office of Career Development Staff
Angie Wojak, Director
As Director of Career Development, Angie guides the office's operations and works closely with the staff to provide industry outreach, recruiting events, career programs, and services that are tailored to the needs of SVA students and alumni. Angie has over 15 years of experience leading university career services offices. Prior to joining SVA, Angie founded the Columbia University School of the Arts Office of Career Development and served as Director of Career Services at Parsons School of Design. Angie earned her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and holds an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from the University of Missouri. Angie is a twice published author, having co-authored Spark Your Career in Fashion and Starting Your Career as an Artist. She has lectured on art and design career topics at universities and conferences across the country, including Comic-con International, Harvard University, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Pratt Institute.
Anna Ogier-Bloomer, Assistant Director
Anna Ogier-Bloomer is a practicing artist and photographer, a career counselor, and an educator. She has worked in career services for Parsons School of Design, The New School, and Harvard University, and worked with students and alumni across the visual arts and design. Her work has been exhibited in Barcelona at the Centre Civic Pati Llimona, at The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, and The Attleboro Museum of Art in Massachusetts, as well as numerous galleries. She has received several grants and awards and travels often for her work. She holds a MFA in Photography and Related Media from Parsons The New School for Design, and a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Tufts University.
Patty Romeu, Assistant Director
Patty Romeu brings a wealth of industry experience producing award-winning films in New York City, with an emphasis on broadcast documentary programs. Additionally, she has experience working with post-production facilities and broadcast design agencies and has taught film and media studies courses at Barnard, Emerson College and Drexel University. Patty was Co-Producer of the HBO film The Loving Story, which was broadcast this year and honored with awards from History Makers International, Focal International and the Writers Guild of America. Patty also served as Supervising Producer of the award-winning PBS education series' School: The Story of American Public Education, funded by NEH, CPB and many foundations, and currently in distribution with Films for the Humanities. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
Suzanne Mozes, Coordinator
Suzanne Mozes brings her publishing expertise to SVA as a writer and editor. She has published in New York and Travel + Leisure among other magazines and books. Suzie is working on her first book under contract with Norton while she completes a Master of Fine Arts in Nonfiction Writing at Columbia University School of the Arts. Additionally, she has experience teaching students in New York's public high schools and Columbia's Summer High School Program.
