An Evening with Floyd Norman

Please join us for a screening of Floyd Norman: An Animated Life followed by a Q&A with Norman and facilitated by BFA Animation faculty members Howard Beckerman and Mario Menjivar.

The event is free and open to the public, doors open at 5:30PM

Floyd Norman is an award-winning animator, writer and comic book artist who began his career as an in-betweener on Sleeping Beauty and has gone on to work on films such as The Jungle Book, Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc. Floyd Norman made history as the first African American artist to be hired long term at Walt Disney studios in 1956. He has continued working in the industry for more than 60 years, and was honored with the title of an official "Disney Legend" in 2007 for his expansive contribution to animation at Disney.
