SPRING 2019 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN SEPTEMBER 24, 2018.

Spring semester classes are held on Saturdays in three-hour sessions over 10 weeks.

Spring 2019 courses are scheduled to begin Saturday, January 19 and conclude Saturday, March 30. Courses are not scheduled March 9 in observance of spring break.

It is possible for students to register for two courses during the spring program. Please be sure to select a course scheduled 10:00am-1:00pm and a course scheduled 1:00pm-4:00pm. Please email [email protected] or call 212.592.2101 with questions regarding the program.

  • Please click on the Course Offerings dropdown menu.
  • Select a course by clicking on the individual course link.
  • View the course description and click on the Register For Course tab.
  • You will be taken to WebAdvisor to complete the online registration.
  • Please be sure to provide accurate address and phone information.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Provide both parent and student emails. All communication is sent to the email(s) on file.
  • A tuition payment of $725 is required in order to complete the online registration.

Scholarship Information

President's Scholarship

A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available for the fall semester. The scholarship award is full-tuition. Students who have not preregistered will be contacted and registered for their intended course based on availability. Students who have already registered will be reimbursed for tuition only. Course fees and supplies are the responsibility of the student. 

The Spring 2018 Pre-College President’s Scholarship portal will open on September 24, 2018. 

All students wishing to apply for scholarship are asked to submit 5 of their strongest works via the SlideRoom portal linked above. Students are encouraged to submit at least 2 pieces created from direct observation. Students applying for a lens-based class (Film or Photography and Video) are not required to submit any drawing or painting work.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by Wednesday, January 9, 2019. 

Please note: Only scholarship recipients will be notified of their award via email.

Tuition & Fees

Spring 2019 Tuition: $725 per course

Supplies range between $30-$300 depending on the course selection. Specific supply lists will be emailed one week before the course begins. The following courses have an additional course fee for the use of equipment and supplies:

You must bring a picture ID and a copy of the emailed course document with you every Saturday to enter the building. A current high school ID or state ID may be used. The security guard will not let you enter the building without the printed course document and identification. Please bring these two items to class each Saturday to show the security officer. There is no orientation meeting to attend prior to the class starting. Students go directly to class on the first day.

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be received in writing and emailed to [email protected] Please include the student's full name and course number. Spring tuition refunds will be issued according to the following schedule:

  • Before the first class session - 100% of tuition
  • Before the second class session - 90% of tuition
  • Before the third class session - 80% of tuition
  • There are no course fee refunds after January 19, 2019 and no refunds for withdrawals after the third class session.
Transcript Requests
Official Transcripts

Transcripts letters are offered free of charge to students.
 
Note that transcripts will not be released if a student has outstanding financial obligations to SVA. At this time, transcripts are only sent via postal mail within five business days and will not be transmitted via email or fax. Students wishing to pick up transcripts in person may receive an unofficial (student) copy for their personal use or an official copy in a sealed envelope to deliver to another institution.
 
Requests for transcripts may be made via the following methods:

 
Request Online
Log in to myservices.sva.edu with your MySVA username and password, then click on the “Academics” link.
 
Click on the “Transcript Request” link. There you can choose what type of transcript is needed in the Transcript type menu (i.e. official, student copy (unofficial), etc.).

Viewing Personal Transcripts Online
Current and former students may view personal copies of their transcripts by logging into MyServices at myservices.sva.edu. Click on the "Student Planning" link, followed by "Unofficial Transcript".
