What led you to participate in the Summer Residency Program?
I was inspired to participate in the Summer Residency Program by the amazing creative opportunities that SVA presents among a cohort of diverse artists.

What was the best part of your experience at SVA?
The best parts of my experience at SVA were benefiting from the ongoing critiques by the faculty, working in an absolutely beautiful studio space, having access to the varied facilities of SVA, the extremely helpful staff, and the friendships fostered.

How did the Residency Program contribute to your development as a professional artist, designer, etc?
It provided me with an open studio space where I could explore an art concept of interest and work to bring it to fruition in a public art showing.

What's going on in your studio now?
I am scaling up the exploratory work that I started at the Summer Residency. I am transitioning into using new materials such as metal and wood along with paper cut-outs and painting.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experiences in the program or after?
I am extremely impressed by this well-managed program. It was such a delight to walk into our summer studios at SVA everyday. This all made it very easy to spend long hours at the studio focusing on developing my art.
