Summer Intensive in Interaction Design 2013

Hosted by the MFA Interaction Design department, our annual summer program gives students and designers the opportunity to further their understanding of the field of interaction design first hand. Designed flexibly for those contemplating the cost or time commitment of graduate school, this unique offering provides a series of four-week courses, studio visits, and workshops that can be pursued individually or all at once.

Courses take place July 8-August 2 in the evenings, from 6:00-9:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays over the course of one month. In addition to evening classes, the summer program offers optional scheduled workshops and tours to New York design studios. Enrollment in any course provides daytime access to a shared studio workspace and use of department facilities. Participants can receive Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit upon successfully completing a course.

Registration (US residents)

To register online (US only), click the "Register" button for each course you would like to add from the list below. A window will pop up showing that the course has been added to your cart for review. Once you've added all of the courses you would like to sign up and pay for, click "Complete Registration" from the pop-up window. Follow instructions and provide all necessary information.

Note: You will only be considered registered for a course upon successfully completing your payment online using a credit card. To register and pay for summer courses by check, contact the MFA Interaction Design department at summer@interactiondesign.sva.edu to arrange for registration and payment.

Registration (International)

Call the Registrar's office at 212-592-2200 to sign-up and pay for courses. Have your course number(s) and credit card information ready.

Waitlists

If you would like to be added to the waitlist for any closed (full) course, send your name, email address, phone number, and desired summer course number(s) to summer@interactiondesign.sva.edu. Seats will be filled on a first-come first-served basis, with priority given to participants registering in one or more courses.
