The Angelo Donghia Foundation announced 15 winners of its 2016 Student Scholarship Program in Interior Design and two SVA students are among the recipients. Lucie Meichun Cai and Stephanie Chan (both BFA Interior Design 2017) will receive up to $30,000 in scholarships for their senior year tuition, board and other expenses.

The Angelo Donghia Foundation provides support in two areas: the advancement of education in the field of interior design and secondly, initiatives pertaining to the discovery of causes of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and its related diseases and treatments. Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded scholarships to students who are entering their senior year in a baccalaureate degree program in interior design.

“We are extremely proud of Lucie and Stephanie for being selected for this prestigious award. It is a testament to the caliber of our students, faculty and program that both of the SVAID submissions for 2016 were chosen from a highly competitive national field,” said Jane Smith, chair of the BFA Interior Design department at SVA.
