A screening of the new lynda.com documentary about acclaimed photographers Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor, This is not photography, followed by Q&A with the artists. Jerry Uelsmann is one of the most influential and prolific photographic artists of the 20th century. His photo montages are in the permanent collections of numerous international museums and collections including; Metropolitan Museum of Art; Museum of Modern Art; Chicago Art Institute; International Museum of Photography at the George Eastman House; and Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Photography in Seoul, Korea. Fully embracing digital tools and techniques, Maggie Taylor is known for her insightful and whimsical combinations of antique photographs and three dimensional objects. Her work is featured on numerous book covers, monographs, motion graphics, and exhibitions. Presented by the MPS Digital Photography and MFA Photography, Video & Related Media departments.
