School of Visual Arts presents “Take Care,” an exhibition of student posters presented as part of this year’s HOPE Competition. Sponsored by SVA Student Health and Counseling Services, “Take Care” is on view Thursday, February 11, through Saturday, February 20, at the SVA Flatiron Gallery Project Space, 133/141 West 21st Street, New York City.
Now in its 17th year, the HOPE Competition challenges undergraduate and graduate students to create work for a Student Health and Counseling Services campaign that promotes wellness, health and community. This year’s competition focuses on poster design. The winning posters will be used to promote Student Health and Counseling Services workshops and will be displayed around campus for the semester. Past campaigns have addressed suicide prevention, HIV/AIDS prevention and healthy body image. This year, students were asked to focus on the theme of self-care for college students to maintain a balanced lifestyle. All finalists will have their work displayed at the SVA Flatiron Gallery Project Space, and the winner will be announced on the night of the reception.
