BFA Design presents a reading and Q&A with poet Ian E. Manuel, as well as presentations of Manuel-inspired work by faculty member Olga Mezhibovskaya's students.

Come see images of student work and hear stories of transformation and transcendence. Watch a short documentary film created by Nada Ray that captures the students’ presentation of their work and messages to Manuel.

Meet the poet whose incredible resilience and artistic spirit survived 26 years of imprisonment, much of it in solitary confinement. Manuel will read some of the poems the students responded to and perform some of his more recent work.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see how art can sustain, nurture and connect us beyond all reasonable expectations.
