Doug DuBois received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and is an associate professor at Syracuse University, where he teaches in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. His monograph, All the Days and Nights (Aperture, 2009), features photographs of his family taken over a 20-year period, and his most recent work, My Last Day at Seventeen, is about coming of age in Ireland during the current economic downturn. His photographs are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,; J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Museum of Fine Arts,  Houston; Library of Congress; and Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and he has also exhibited at venues such as Higher Pictures, New York; New Langton Arts, San Francisco; PARCO Gallery, Tokyo; and Voies Off, Arles, France. He has received fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, National Endowment for the Arts, SITE Santa Fe, Light Work and The John Gutmann Foundation  and his work has been published by the J. Paul Getty Museum (Where We Live: Photographs from the Berman Collection, 2007), The Museum of Modern Art (The Pleasures and Terrors of Domestic Comfort, 1991), Picture Project, Friends of Photography, DoubleTake, New York Times, Time, Details, BlackBook, The Telegraph, Monopol and Outlook.
