Overview
Hilda Speicher, PhD, associate professor of psychology and coordinator of the Psychology Accelerated Degree Program at Albertus Magnus College, conducts research focusing on developing intimacy. She will present an assessment she developed to measure individual differences on two dimensions, Intimacy Capability and Intimacy Motivation, regardless of type of relationship or specific intimate other. Study results connect measurement scores to attachment, relationship history, fear of intimacy and other factors. Speicher’s assessment would be useful in developing treatment plans and monitoring progress in therapy for clients with intimacy issues. Presented by the MPS Art Therapy Department.
