Artist and SVA faculty member Alice Aycock discusses Park Avenue Paper Chase, a multi-part, painted aluminum sculpture series that will be installed on several blocks in midtown Manhattan in 2014. Presented by the BFA Fine Arts Department.

Artist and SVA Faculty member Alice Aycock discusses Park Avenue Paper Chase in the context of her 40 year career. The multi-part sculptural assemblage visualizes the movement of wind as it flows up and down the avenue, creating whirlpools, vortexes of energy, and sometimes unpredicatable three-dimensional massing of forms. Park Avenue Paper Chase will be installed in midtown Manhattan in 2014. In April of 2013 there will be a retrospective of her drawings at the new Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, New York coinciding with the Grey Art Gallery in New York City. The retrospective will then travel to the University Art Museum at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in 2014.
