Overview
London-based writer, artist, publisher and technologist James Bridle is the premiere Artist in Residence of the SVA Visible Futures Lab (VFL). The VFL is a 3,000-square-foot making space and state-of-the-art digital fabrication lab located at 136 West 21st St. James, credited with coining the term \"New Aesthetic,\" is using his VFL residency to explore ways of visualizing the network, with an emphasis on surveillance and automated systems–from digital photos, to CCTV and military drones. Artifacts from James' residency will be on display in the VFL gallery December 17 – 20.
