Overview
Though at times transgressive and often confrontational, photographer and filmmaker Jean-Christian Bourcart always remains compassionate as he explores the human condition. “I photograph so that I have an excuse for looking,” he says. “I photograph to grasp what is otherwise inaccessible. I photograph because photography causes less damage than a machine gun.” His talk is part of the i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration lecture series, which features presentations by cutting-edge digital photographers, hardware and software developers and industry experts. Presented by the MPS Digital Photography Department.
