How to make vibrant images that express your own way of seeing is the focus of this course. Color theory and composition, with an emphasis on shooting high-quality photographs will be examined. How color temperature, lighting, exposure and image composition contribute to the design of a personal vision will be emphasized. In addition, we will address various light source options and considerations. Assignments and review of work are geared to encourage the development of a personal sensibility and the application of technique. Students interested in both digital and film photography are welcome.
NOTE: Please bring a digital or film camera capable of manual settings to the first session.
