Prototyping is an invaluable asset to realize our artistic visions and test design concepts. The focus of this course is to explore a wide range of digital fabrication processes. Through guided workshops, students will design projects to laser cut, CNC mill and vinyl cut. Adobe Illustrator will be the primary program used to generate artwork files. Sessions will be held in the Visible Futures Lab, a state-of-the-art rapid prototyping facility.
PREREQUISITE: A working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
NOTE: The lab fee includes in-class demo materials, safety equipment, and access to tools and workstations. Use of laser cutters, CNC router, and other digital fabrication machines may incur additional fees. All other materials must be purchased by the student.
