This course is designed to teach formulas that will allow students to understand various common forms regularly drawn by the working cartoonist. By introducing a basic set of formulas and rules, students will be able to draw such things as the male figure, the female figure, male and female heads, hands, feet, clothing and drapery, among other subjects, without reference. This system can then be incorporated into one's personal style and can also be implemented to self-diagnose errors in artwork. It also assists in placing figures and objects into complex and realistic threedimensional scenarios. The formula templates will gradually evolve into more complex formulas, and students will better understand the nuances of the human form and how it moves.
