How far can you push yourself? In this one-day painting marathon, participants will create 100 works in ten hours. The paintings will combine figurative elements from observation (several models will be used), art historical references as well as working from memory and imagination. This unique course allows students to "clean house, get the dust out and get on with it"; the "it" being a spontaneous, free and joyful way of painting. NOTE: Please bring 120 grounds of your choice (gessoed paper, watercolor paper, canvas, etc.) that are all the same size and which take water-based paints and mediums well. No oil paint please. A complete supply list will be made available upon registration.
