This course presents acrylic paint as a multi-purpose medium and as an alternative to other water-based media and oil paint. Non-toxic additives to this extremely safe paint, which provide a wide range of flexible applications, will be discussed and used. Acrylics will be used to produce images that range from still life to landscape to the figure, and to explore styles from "loose" to photographically representational.
NOTE: Please bring a #2 pencil, a nonspiral-bound sketchpad and an X-Acto knife (#11 blade) to the first session.
