The social impact games movement is one of the fastest growing and most exciting forms of social innovation. Games are a powerful way to engage employees and communities in the issues that they will carry into the future. Taught by Asi Burak, co-president of Games for Change, and Matt Parker, renowned game designer, this workshop will provide an overview of digital and non-digital games that help children and adults alike to become more thoughtful, responsible and committed citizens through play. In addition, participants will design and present their own game for social impact. Utilizing the Games for Change "8 Step Methodology," we will work through a high-level analysis to flesh out original ideas into an informed and vetted strategy. Be prepared to work hard as you play.
