This course will build upon basic Illustrator skills and advance each student's ability to create industry standard vector graphic images. Students will work on such as magazine covers, editorial graphics, technical illustration, package design, logo and branding development, custom type design and 3D illustration. While creating these works, we will discuss advanced masking, custom graphic styles, brushes, symbols and patterns. This workshop will examine the basic design and production features of Adobe InDesign and demonstrate how to prepare files for printing. Students will create "mini" assignments in which they will utilize layout, formatting, type, graphics handling and color features. Powerful timesaving tools such as style sheets and master pages will be outlined.
PREREQUISITE: SWC-2221, Weekend Introduction to Photo shop, or SWC-2231, Weekend Illustrator, or equivalent.
