In this course, we will build upon your Illustrator skills to advance your ability to create industry standard vector graphic images. Students will work on projects that include magazine covers, editorial graphics, technical illustration, package design, logo and branding development, custom type design and 3D illustration. While creating these works, we will discuss advanced masking, custom graphic styles, brushes, symbols and patterns. Scanned images will be used to produce professional illustrations and web graphics, and we will also explore 3D effects, advanced color and blending techniques.
Prerequisite: SMC-2231, Introduction to Illustrator: Designing with Vector Graphics, or equivalent.
