What are the career opportunities in film, video and animation in New York? What do you need to begin? Spend an evening with some of our continuing education film, video, animation and cinema studies faculty; see their students' work, hear them discuss it and let them answer your questions on how to begin working in these dynamic fields.

Animation is a unique art form combining storytelling, drawing and painting—it’s a bit like movie-making, where you get to create all the characters and sets yourself. It’s an exciting field, with animators working in movies and television shows, in ads, in gaming and more.

Through hands-on exercises and projects, you can learn the ins and outs of the animation industry from our professional faculty of animators.

While you improve your skills with hands-on exercises and learn the latest technology, our faculty can inform you about the ins and outs the animation industry.

We have an array of courses to choose from, where you can learn the basics, work on character development, hone your drawing skills, explore stop-motion animation or create your own short. You can fine-tune your stories in our creative workshops, sketch characters and backgrounds, and finesse your animation on the latest software in our labs.

So, if you’ve been curious about how to get started in animation, or want to refine your skills, sign up for one of our courses. You’ll learn a lot, and best of all, you’ll meet others as passionate about animation as yourself.
