Through programs, publications, special events and promotions, the office maintains an active relationship with the alumni and encourages them to support the College's mission to educate future generations of artists, designers, and creative professionals. All degree graduates of SVA are considered alumni.

Career Development
The Office of Career Development hosts workshops and programs designed to educate and inform students and alumni about all aspects of career development in the visual arts. Events are held throughout the year for all students and alumni, who may attend without restriction. Programming includes special lectures, presentations from industry experts, workshops, fairs and networking events. Use of the online job board, www.collegecentral.com/sva, is available to all alumni. The Office of Career Development also provides one-on-one career counseling to alumni for up to four years after graduation. Join SVA Portfolios, an exclusive and free network for degree-seeking SVA students, alumni and faculty members. Through SVA Portfolios you will gain broader exposure for your work, connect with others in the SVA community and be discovered more easily by potential clients, recruiters, and creative enthusiasts.
Behance was designed to support the creative and business aspects of being an artist. Projects on SVA Portfolios can be built with text, images, audio or video. Members can share tips and media, collaborate on projects, and get feedback from peers or mentors. They can also publish their work on their Facebook and Twitter pages, and sync up their profile with what they have on LinkedIn.
