The Office of Alumni Affairs is dedicated to advancing the cultural and educational best interests of its members. Through programs, publications, special events and promotions, the office maintains an active relationship with the alumni and encourages them to support the College's mission to educate future generations of artists, designers, and creative professionals. All degree graduates of SVA are considered alumni.

Alumni Services

Career Development
The Office of Career Development hosts workshops and programs designed to educate and inform students and alumni about all aspects of career development in the visual arts. Events are held throughout the year for all students and alumni, who may attend without restriction. Programming includes special lectures, presentations from industry experts, workshops, fairs and networking events. Use of the online job board, www.collegecentral.com/sva, is available to all alumni. The Office of Career Development also provides one-on-one career counseling to alumni for up to four years after graduation. SVA Portfolios on Behance
Join SVA Portfolios, an exclusive and free network for degree-seeking SVA students, alumni and faculty members. Through SVA Portfolios you will gain broader exposure for your work, connect with others in the SVA community and be discovered more easily by potential clients, recruiters, and creative enthusiasts.

Behance was designed to support the creative and business aspects of being an artist. Projects on SVA Portfolios can be built with text, images, audio or video. Members can share tips and media, collaborate on projects, and get feedback from peers or mentors. They can also publish their work on their Facebook and Twitter pages, and sync up their profile with what they have on LinkedIn.

Model Drawing Sessions
Bring your drawing materials and attend weekly model drawing sessions at the Solarium in the George Washington Residence Hall located at 23 Lexington Avenue (23rd Street). Co-sponsored by the Office of Residence Life. Alumni ID card and photo ID required for building entry. For the current schedule, click on Upcoming Events under the News and Events menu.

Visual Arts Library
Alumni have access to computers and in-house research when alumni ID card and photo ID are presented at the circulation desk. The library is also interested in learning about books alumni have illustrated, designed, been featured in and/or written. To be a part of the library's growing collection of alumni books, please send an email with publication details to the library director, robert.lobe@sva.edu.
