In recent years, SVA has enjoyed a collaborative relationship with the Maison de Santé Saint-Paul —the historic psychiatric clinic in southern France that was once home to Vincent van Gogh—and its Valetudo Association, which offers art therapy to those suffering from mental illnesses. In three exhibitions to date, works by Valetudo patients have been shown together with works by students in the College’s MPS Art Therapy and Photography Workshop in Southern France programs, documenting the beauty of the Provence region and its residents and celebrating the healing power of the arts.
